DJ Thomas did a total revamp of Sally Yip (葉蒨文)'s "200 Degrees" ("200度") in 2001 which is actually the Chinese cover of Madonna's 1985 hit "Material Girl".
For this project, DJ Thomas used as a basis for his remix major samples from "(If You Buy This Record) Your Life Will Be Better" (1998) by The Tamperer featuring Maya which itself was also based on samples taken directly from Madonna's "Material Girl".
This is perhaps one of the best practical examples of a music-sampling-based production.
